Jadwal Hari Kiamat Berubah jadi 21 Oktober 2011

Kita tau, sebelumnya telah beredar kabar bahwa kiamat akan terjadi pada tanggal 21 Mei kemarin, namun nyatanya peristiwa itu tidak terjadi. Sang peramal, Harold Camping malah meralatnya dan mengatakan kiamat akan datang lima bulan dari prediksi, yakni tanggal 21 Oktober 2011 mendatang.

Aneh memang, pria berusia 89 tahun ini  tiba-tiba meralat jadwal kiamat, lebih aneh lagi masih saja ada orang yang mempercayainya. Apalagi Camping sebelumnya sudah pernah dua kali salah memprediksi datangnya kiamat, yakni pada tahun 1994 dan yang terakhir pada 21 Mei 2011 kemarin.
Bahkan, pria ini pun sempat bingung atau malunya, ia bersama istrinya sampai mengungsi ke sebuah motel karena kiamat yang dia prediksi tidak terbukti.
Dia meralat bahwa kiamat tanggal 21 Mei tidak datang dan kiamat akan diganti pada tanggal 21 Oktiber 2011.  “Pada 21 Oktober, kalian semua akan melepaskan kekayaan dunia,” kata Camping dalam acara Open Forum di Family Radio miliknya. Ia menambahkan untuk menyambut kiamat mendatang pihaknya tidak lagi berkampanye.
Selama berbulan-bulan, Camping dan para pengikutnya mennyebarluaskan ke seluruh dunia soal datangnya kiamat pada 21 Mei lalu. Kampanye yang mneghabiskan jutaan dolar itu berlangsung lewat papan iklan, televise, radio, dan Internet.
Pada kesempatan itu, Camping mengakui ia telah membuat kesalahan. Meski begitu, ia menegaskan kesalahan prediksi itu tidak menggangu pikirannya. “Jika orang ingin saya minta maaf, saya akan minta maaf,” ujarpenganut Kristen aliran Evangelis ini.
Bahkan ia menegaskan penduduk Bumi harus menyadari proses datangnya kiamat sedang berlangsung. Ia menunjukkan salah satu tanda kiamat akan tiba, yakni makin banyaknya kaum gay yang bangga dengan identitas mereka.

International Students Scholarships and Financial Aid, Texas A&M University, USA

International students may apply for grants and scholarships if they have demonstrated financial need. Financial need itself does not guarantee that a student will receive a grant or a scholarship. Awards are not designed to meet the student’s entire financial need. They are designed to supplement the student’s other financial resources. This permits limited funds to assist the largest number of students. Grants do NOT include a tuition waiver. Continuing students are eligible to apply, however incoming students are required to show they are able to support themselves for one year while attending Texas A&M University. Incoming students may apply their second year for financial aid.

To be eligible to apply for the ITPEG, an international student must be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting course of study at Texas A&M University.

  1. Current tax return (1040NR, 1040EZ) if one was filed. Dependent students must provide parent taxes or income statements.
    Note: Some international students may be required to file a U.S. tax return. Please contact International Student Services at (979) 845-1824 if you have questions regarding the proper forms and procedures.
  2. All applicants must provide a letter from their bank with the following information (or the attached bank form):
    - Current checking and savings account balances
    - Total amount of deposits to your checking & savings accounts in the last 12 months
    - Total value of all Certificates of Deposit and/or other securities
    *If you have had more than one bank in the last 12 months, bank forms for each bank will be required.
  3. A letter (composed by the student) which fully explains your need for financial assistance is required. You must explain how you originally planned to finance your education, and why you are now unable to obtain the funding for completion of your studies at TAMU. Also, provide any documentation which supports your request. Please do not assume Scholarships & Financial Aid is aware of all recent events in your country. Include in your letter any changes(i.e. natural disasters, changes in national economy) in your country which affect you or your family’s ability to obtain the funding expected.

Postgraduate International Scholarships, Bournemouth University, UK


This scholarship is offered to international (non-EU) applicants for BU postgraduate degrees beginning in September 2011 and January 2012. You will be eligible to apply for a BU Postgraduate International Scholarship if you can demonstrate an outstanding academic profile relevant to your course. An outstanding academic profile is one which is considered to be equivalent to a UK 1st class Honours degree as assessed by NARIC.
